Joined my fellow grassroots advisors from Ang Mo Kio GRC, Yio Chu Kang and Kebun Baru SMCs for our annual Tree Planting Day this morning. I’ve done many tree plantings, but this is my first on the rooftop of a multi-story carpark!
Rooftop gardens and community gardens are just a few of the ways we are beautifying our residential estates and getting Singaporeans involved in the greening movement. 49 years after the first Tree Planting Day, our green journey has evolved into today’s City in Nature, with numerous green spaces in our parks, gardens, and nature reserves. Let us keep Singapore vibrant and green to give future generations a better living environment. – LHL
